Another way to find circulating books about women's history is to check The American Historical Association's Guide to Historical Literature (016.9 Am34 1995). This book lists the best works of history in every field, with brief annotations of each book. Check the sections on women's history, as well as subsections in other fields about women, domesticity, the family, and the like. A similar book is the Reader's Guide to American History (016.973 R2273). The Reader's Guide gives brief essay treatments about different topics in American history, explaining which books are important and how they relate to one another.
